Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite comes with enhanced capabilities
The company claims that its newest processor comes with significant features, including advanced on-device AI capabilities, exceptional energy efficiency, multi-day battery life, and more. While the Snapdragon X Elite is a 4nm processor, it has a Qualcomm Oryon CPU with 12 cores, up to 3.8GHz, Single and Dual-Core Boost, up to 4.3GHz.
When we look at the official details, we can see that the new processor offers better Single-threaded CPU performance with 3.227 points compared to Apple M2 Max and Intel I9-13980HX. Additionally, the Snapdragon X Elite offers this peak performance at 30% less power than the Apple M2 Max, and 70% less power than the Intel I9-13980HX.
The Elite X GPU is said to deliver graphics performance that’s twice as fast as the i7-13800H. Plus, it achieves this level of performance while using 74% less power. Additionally, it offers up to 80% faster GPU performance compared to AMD Ryzen 9 7940Hs, while still using 80% less power.
Qualcomm explained that the first PCs powered by the X Elite will be released starting in the middle of 2024.
